Human Zoo was founded by two likeminded individuals who both believed that the agency and marketing consultancy world often takes a too formulaic approach to helping solving the problems and exploiting the opportunities that businesses face. They also believe that there is a tendency, and sometimes a desire, to overcomplicate.
Simon is an ex Ad man (Saatchi & Saatchi, Bates, and 141 Worldwide) who has worked on and with some of the world’s major brands (Guinness, Amnesty International, Chivas Regal, 3 Mobile, Air France / KLM, Absolut Vodka, Deloitte, Disney, GlaxoSmithKline, Lloyds TSB, Royal Bank of Scotland, Royal Mail, Skype, ?What If!, and The Wrigley Confectionery Company). Simons was fortunate enough to work with Desmond Morris, author of The Naked Ape and The Human Zoo (yes, we pinched the name), early in his career and has built on this to become one of the leading experts in behaviour as it relates to marketing and sales, creativity and innovation, culture and the broader commercial world. He is also a trained Barista (see Doing, not talking) and makes a mean capuchino.
Adam’s career started in the corporate world (Barclays, Electrolux) before working in and managing some of the most respected below-the-line and integrated agencies of the 80’s and 90’s (FKB, Clark Hooper, Marketing Drive, Mercier Gray) and then moving into innovation and growth consultancy. He has a track record of successful product and company launches, brand turnarounds and innovation for clients such as Guinness, Toyota, FT, London Stock Exchange, Fujitsu Siemens, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Johnnie Walker and Martell as well as many SME’s. Adam prides himself on delivering tangible commercial results to businesses and has started one or two himself (see Doing, not talking).
A highly experienced business developer across multiple sectors, but with particular expertise within the digital arena, Peter’s record of winning and developing business is second to none. With a CV that includes major corporates as well as Global high growth SME’s, he has the ability to leverage corporate status in the sales process or build credibility for embryonic businesses both domestically and in international markets. Peter’s skill base spans the full sales process from developing initial contact strategies to the closing of deals; incorporating pitching, tender development and contract negotiation. He works as part of the Human Zoo team on our own business interests and in both a consultancy and operational capacity as part of our client services offering.
